ok so…
rode my bike to work, no issues.
rode bike home, no issues.
rode bike to old town, and some fuck-ass nudges me on purpose with his shiny gold SUV at the light @ Cortland and Elston.
I gave him a mouthful, and he rolled down his window. I gave it to him again, worse.
Stupid white guy in his 50’s, trying to prove a point on his way back to his penthouse in Lincoln Park.
If the light didn’t turn green I probably would have brawled. I would have opened his door and told him to step out. I am NOT KIDDING.
There is something that seriously makes my blood boil about drivers and their complete lack of respect for my safety. I’m a vehicle too, dammit! I’m stopped at this light, NOT RUNNING IT, and I have to wait, just like you.
Anyway, a string of crass words and insult streamed from my mouth without a moment’s thought. I rode away kind of suprised at my reaction, and simultaneously coming up with other things I could have said to make him regret ever bumping my back tire.
I hope I run into him again, so I can key his car. And seriously people, why own an SUV in a city with absolutely no hills? Or in general at all? Dipshits.
Amanda and I at critical mass. Over 2000 bikes! June 9th, naked version. It was a great ass Friday at 5.
For having a corporate job, I’m so lucky I can go to work in cut offs and sweat everyday.
